Shift Really Does Happen! A Data suggest a New Majority by 2050

There has been tons of talk about America changing, and it really is! The new census data projections will be released today and the information will point to a new population shift within the next 40 yrs. According to the census data, there will be major population boost in the Hispanic Community. Data suggest that the Hispanic population will triple from 46.7 million to 132.8 million by 2050.

"The fact of the matter,"said population dynamics expert James Ballard, "is that the census and their projections are doing nothing more than recognizing the reality of what's happening across the country"

Although, the Hispanic population will make the most significant jump, there will be an overall growth in all minority populations. The African American population is expected to grow form 41.1 million to 65.7 million, and the Asian population is expected to grow from 15 million to 41 million from now until the year 2050.
This will create a non-white American majority by 2050, with 54% of the countries population accounting for non-Caucasian Americans.

"This change has been coming," Ballard said. "It's a function of several things: the aging of the traditional population, the birthrate of the newer population, the immigrant population, but also the growth of the Hispanic culture, not just in the desert Southwest but across the United States. All of these social forces are coming to a head, and we're going to see by 2050 a dramatic shift in the rest of the country."
